Yes. All quoted daily rates include comprehensive insurance, but excesses do apply.

The excess is your maximum liability. Any damages up to the excess amount (which varies according to the model) are the renter’s responsibility. Beyond this amount, our insurance will cover the rest.

We do not offer a zero excess option. We advise checking if your travel insurance or credit card covers car rental excess.

The renter is liable for any damage, including accidental tire and windscreen damage during the rental period.

VAT and comprehensive insurance are included in the quoted price. Only extra kilometers or damages will be charged additionally. Missing Link Car Hire retains the right to charge a discretionary valet fee if the car is returned in an unacceptably dirty state (including any evidence of smoking).

Anyone with a valid license can rent from us. For those under 25 years of age, the insurance excess amount doubles. Missing Link Car Hire reserves the right to rent to any individual at its own discretion.

Extra drivers are free of charge if we are provided with a valid license prior to rental. We do not allow cars to be rented by one person and entrusted to a third party without our prior knowledge and consent.

You can return the vehicle within 24 hours, although our rentals and rates are based on a 24-hour period.

For a cancellation at least 2 weeks prior to the rental date, we will refund 100%. For cancellations less than 2 weeks prior, the 50% booking fee will be lost.

Yes, we do deliveries and collections within the Cape Town region for an additional fee of R350 each way. We can meet you at any establishment, hotel, or Cape Town International Airport.

We are based in Cape Town, so there is a one-way fee. Typically, the fees are: George - R3500, Port Elizabeth - R5000, Durban - R7000.

A Missing Link Car Hire team member will meet you at arrivals with a nameboard. Handover is a digital sign-off, so there’s no queuing and minimal admin. For drop-off, we will meet you at the airport DROP AND GO ZONE / PARKADE 2 PUBLIC PICK-UP AREA, or ask you to drop the car with our Valet Parking partners in PARKADE 1.
